Welcome to the website of the Applied Epistemology Project, a project from the UNC Department of Philosophy and the UNC Philosophy, Politics & Economics program.

The project, which launched in Fall 2022 and runs for four years, aims to promote and contribute toward producing outstanding scholarship that applies the questions and tools of epistemology to issues of pressing public concern across domains such as politics, the law, science, education, the media, and more.

We also aim to promote the public dissemination of this scholarship, and to help equip those who wish to teach epistemology in an engaging, relevant, applied way with the resources to do so.
